Pumpkins

Carter had a fantastic time at the pumpkin patch this year. Here are some of his highlights.

Mom and Dad say we have alot more to see at the pumpkin patch, but I could be happy spending all afternoon with these donkeys. I love these guys!Who knew playing in a huge pile of hay would be so fun.... If only I could take more then two steps before falling down.Ok, where is the tractor? I'm ready for my hay ride!

Perhaps if I wave to the tractor driver, he'll know that I'm ready..... Time to pick out the perfect pumpkin! Oh which one to choose?

This one is nice, but it might be hard for me to carry back to the car......Maybe Daddy has the best pumpkins at the top of the hill....I think before I get my pumpkin, I should stop in the middle of the field and MOON Mommy...Come on Dad. No more joking around, we still need to find my pumpkin. This one is perfect!!

roll em'

Carter is in the stage where he loves to look at photographs. He loves albums and picture frames, but above all he loves to look at the photos (and videos) in the camera. As soon as you take a picture he wants to see what it looks like. Of course he's usually too eager to see the result to actually stop and pose for a picture. I can't tell you how many shots I've taken of half of his face because he's racing around me to look at the screen on the back of the camera. He also enjoys watching videos once they are loaded onto the computer. For example, Carter laughs hysterically at this clip below. I think he made us play it 30 times this morning. I guess it's funny, but it's even more entertaining to watch his reaction to the clip. I wish I had THAT on video!

half way through

Oh the beloved belly shot. This is me at almost 21 weeks. Half way there. The belly is pretty noticeable these days. I don't think I'm showing any earlier with this pregnancy, but I have a feeling I'm going to be much larger! Did I mention I gained 12 lbs this month? Eekk! I like to blame it on the winter clothing I was wearing at the doctor's visit or perhaps the fact I just had lunch before I stepped on the scale. Maybe it's the the prednisone I'm taking (a steroid for my spondylitis condition that has excessive weight gain as a main side effect). Whatever the reason, I'm sure my weight gain has NOTHING to do with the sheer volume of food I consume on a daily basis: two breakfasts, the two lunches, the all day snacking, a big dinner, late night snacks and weekly trips to dairy queen. I still have 4 more months, lets hope it's not 48 more lbs or my 36 week belly shot will need to be taken with a wide angle lens!

Wide awake before bedtime.....

Sound asleep mid-morning the next day.... That's what happens when this little boy fights bedtime and then decides to wake up at 5:30am.

Have I mentioned he's getting more teeth? One has come thru and 3 more are close.

The tech gave us a handful of ultrasound pictures, but I wasn't able to transfer them very clearly except this one. Two feet, crossed at the ankles. So lady-like.

Big Brother

Big brother Carter is welcoming a little SISTER into the family! Wow, blog readers you guess well! Almost everyone guess girl and you were RIGHT!

All in a day....

Today Carter tried on his fire chief hat... Worked with Daddy in the home office...

And had bath time with Mommy...

Of course these photos don't include the following:

• crying to watch Elmo
• playing with his trains
• taking two rides around the neighborhood in the wagon
• learning the game 52 card pickup
• going to the mall so the 18 month old can run until his heart's content
• going to dinner where Carter discovered what lemons were and that although he can't stand lemons he can't stop putting them in his mouth

Not to bad of a day!

Bo Update

Good news everyone. Bo Kitty is back! He was on the back patio this morning crying to be let in. So far he has spent the morning eating and I imagine he will sleep all afternoon. Thank you to everyone who was wishing him a speedy return home.
