Favorite Things

One of Carter's favorite things is the picture in our living room from Aunt Robin. We noticed several weeks ago he would stare at it constantly. Now when he gets fussy we put him in front of the "magic" picture and he is instantly mesmerized.

It's taken Carter awhile to warm up to his toys. Now that he's a little bit bigger he loves, loves his swing, activity mat and mobile. It had been a couple of weeks since we tried the bouncy seat so we thought we would test it out again. It was a hit! He loves to kick, wiggle and look around. Check out his latest video:

2 Mo. Checkup

Carter had his 2 month checkup on Tuesday. He is one healthy, happy and growing boy.

His stats:
Weight - 13 lbs. 10 oz. (86%)
Height - 24.25 inches (88%)

Clearly Carter likes to eat and it shows. He gained over 2 pounds and grew over 2 inches in the last month. Carter was a great patient for the doctor...until the shots. Poor guy got 3 shots this time and HATED every second of it. His poor little cry is simply heartbreaking. As a parent it is so sad to watch. However, watching him taste the grape flavored Tylenol before the shots was pretty entertaining. He wasn't quite sure what to think of it. He had no idea what it was, but he definitely liked it.

Weekend Activities By Carter

Hi everybody! I went to the Broadripple Art Fair with my mom and dad. Mom liked the art, Dad liked the locally brewed beer and I liked laying in the grass dancing to the music. Turns out I really like jazz music.

I also helped my mom in the yard. Really, I just slept in my stroller.

I just love nice weekends! Summer here I come!!

Children's Museum

Grandma and Grandpa Meek and Cousin Aidan came with us to the Children's Museum today.
Aidan loved it. He got a kick out of the trains, sandbox, water toys and slides.




Carter and Grandma spent lots of time together while we played in the exhibits. Carter slept the entire time we were there. The museum will be a huge hit when he's a little older.

I'm 8 Weeks Old Today

I am 8 weeks old today. I am sleeping really well now. Typically I sleep for 4 hour stretches at night getting up one or two times to eat. Two nights this week I've slept 7.5 hours straight! My parents are VERY happy (and well rested).

I smile and coo. I am my happiest in the morning when I wake up. This week I found my hands. I am always chewing on my fists. I can't believe Mom doesn't have a picture of it yet. Here are some of my mom's favorite pictures taken this week.

Friends come to visit

Today the Applegate girls came by to see Carter. Ansley is about one month older then Carter and Kennedy is nearly 2 years old. Both girls are sweet, sweet, sweet!! We look forward to when the kids can all play together!

My New Friend

I have a new friend! Nathaniel Asher Bolles was born yesterday, May 5th. He was 7 lbs, 9 oz. (3 ounces bigger then I was). We went to the hospital today to visit. Nate has lots of dark hair and looks just like his dad, Chris. His mom, Melissa, is doing wonderfully. We are so excited for the entire Bolles family!

I'm 6 weeks old. I am starting to smile and play with my toys.

I still don't like to sleep at night, but my parents are happy today. Last night I slept from 10:30pm - 2:30am non-stop and then again from 3:30am - 5:30am. This has been my best night so far. I thought Mon and Dad needed a break since they have been sick with nasty colds the last couple of weeks.
