We have been busy

The Meeks have been pretty busy lately. Our sister-in-law, Amy, came to town from Massachusetts. We threw her a baby shower. Due date for Lil' Meek is September 8th. We can't wait for the arrival!
Doesn't Amy look fantastic!We also went to a free concert in Fishers with some friends. It was a Beatles cover band and Carter had a WONDERFUL time.

And last but not least, we took a road trip to Michigan for the wedding of Chuck and Jennifer Lawhorn. Carter stayed with Nonna and her sisters near Detroit while Kyle and I enjoyed the wedding festivities. Congratulations Mr. and Dr. Lawhorn!!!

Carter had an overnight at Nonna's and Papa Big's house. These picutres are proof that he had no problem ditching his parents for 24 hours.

Hi! Carter here. I thought I would share pictures from my fun filled weekend.

On Friday I went to lunch with Nonna and Mom at Bubs in Carmel. I loved looking at the dogs on the Monon Trail and I thought the big construction trucks working across the street were really cool!

Also, my cousin, Aidan (2 1/2 years old), came to play with me. He lives in Evansville and his mom was in town for a soccer tournament. Any toy Aidan played with I wanted to play with too. I love doing everthing bigger kids do! We spent a lot of time outside. We played in the sandbox and rode in the wagon together. We both love to chase bubbles and have a lot of fun pushing the toy lawn mower.

Weekends are the best!

Mothers Day Weekend

What a fun filled weekend. The weather was nice and cool so we spent a lot of time outside.

Carter's friend Nate turned 1 year old this week. We got to celebrate with good friends at his birthday party on Saturday. Happy Birthday, Little Guy!Sunday was Mother's Day. My guys pampered me with spa treatments and they built me a new gate on the side of the house. I am a lucky girl.

Carter has a little more freedom in the backyard to run around now that the yard it fully enclosed. Let me just say he is taking full advantage of the nice weather and the backyard. He is outside every chance he gets! The photo below is when Carter spotted the neighbor's dog on the other side of the fence. He squealed in delight and took off running!

Carter is a very active 1 year old. He has been off bottles for several weeks. He knows how to run, walk backwards and jump. He loves to give high fives and tens. He gives big hugs and kisses. He thinks playing in the bath is so much fun. He enjoys taking little trips in the car to the post office or the bank. He loves bananas, graham crackers, pudding and grapes. He is into books and will make you read the same 2 books over and over and over again. Here is a recent picture of our blond baby sitting still (which he doesn't do often anymore).
